Deep Green Inc. presents
The Deep Green Comedy Show

It's Getting Hot in Here!
This night of comedy is being held to benefit a new documentary film now in production entitled Deep Green: Energy. The headliner is film actor/comedian and long time environmentalist Rick Overton, with Bay Area favorite Bob Rubin, local monologist/comedian W. Kamau Bell, science comedian Brian Malow and others joining the fun. The comics will be performing their acts but also creating environmentally-focused stand up material for inclusion in the film. Our cameras will be there to capture the best of the night's green-themed humor.

The film will include comic bits as part of the narrative to help realize the urgency of change needed to save us all from a whole lot of trouble with CO2. For detailed and updated information on the film project and the comedy night please visit www.deepgreeninc.org. Deep Green: Energy explores the global effort to decarbonize energy and lower CO2 emissions through individual, organizational, corporate and governmental efforts. We hope to inspire everyone to join the larger aim to achieve a sustainable world.

Deep Green: Energy is a non-profit, independently financed project with no ties to organizations or groups with any positions -- political, corporate, financial or otherwise. Just some passionate filmmakers trying to make a difference.

LiNK and LiNK Bay Area presents
Liberty Live Tour 2008

LiNK is going on the road with Miss Vintage and Andy Grammar across the United States, playing music and raising awareness about the humanitarian crisis going on today in North Korea. Part of an exciting campaign to bring this issue to the attention of the American people and empower a movement that will one day see liberty in North Korea.

Miss Vintage represents a classic clash of intrigue and pop sensibilities. This self- proclaimed "art rock" band delivers a sound akin to the ambient, dulcet, but heavy-hitting qualities of influences such as Explosions in the Sky, Sigur Ros, Mew, and Radiohead. The area qualities of the bandŐs emotionally-laden melodies are accentuated by beautifully crafted lyrics that detail various aspects of the human experience: life, love, adventure, and loss.

Tickets prices: Advance $10, At the Door, $15
Tickets can be purchased at www.missvintagemusic.com and at www.linkglobal.org/libertytickets.html, or contact linkbayarea@gmail.com to pre-order tickets that will be available at will-call the day of the event.

Evening and weekend off-street parking is now available 3 blocks from the theater at UC Berkeley's Underhill Field, 2612 Channing Way, between Bowditch and College.
